Ya gotta love the opening theme. It starts by being so cheerful and uplifting, but then turns ominous and foreboding. The change occures in sequence with the typewriter, as Kolchak begins to type, the true nature of the show is revealed in words and in music. very clever

I had a tough time watching these episodes back in the day because they used to come on late Friday evening when my lil' ass would get sleepy.
