Instead of doing flushes, i just drain and refill mine every 16,000 miles so the fluid stays clean

I just found out my tranny filter is inside the tranny itself which require dismantle. I further read in the manual that the filter was meant for the life of the tranny. First time I ever hear this.

What about the transmission filter? I dont know about BG. I was going to do a coolant flush using a BG machine, but I dont know if it will clog up the radiator.

Drop the pan and change the filter!The filter inside the transmission is just like an oil filter,trap dirt.The flush machine backflushes the dirt and crud in the valve body.I know a transmission shop that does tons of valve body cleaning including rebuilds due to flushes with the machine and make money off these.GM,Ford,Chrysler and Honda do not recomend flushing transmissions and it says in the factory service manual

So how is that they say to leave the original filter in the transmission? Wouldn't you think that the cleaning process would expectedly dislodge grime and contaminates and have it routed through the filter during operation? I would think the best way to do a complete servicing would be the BG full flush, but also after that, drop the trans pan to replace the filter and then top off the trans fluid if you cant salvage the from the pan removal.
