4/20 Day Vancouver Art Gallery 2010: Thousands rally, smoke weed at 4:20

April 20, 2010, Vancouver BC. http://bulletproofcourier.blogspot.com: Thick clouds of marijuana smoke filled the airspace above the Vancouver Art Gallery today as thousands gathered to celebrate 4/20 day by openly imbibing and rallying for legalization. Two young females in the crowd requested emergency medical assistance after eating potent potables (cookies, brownies etc.) and "getting too high."

I don't smoke weed but everyone has the right to do whatever they wont to thier bodies, regardless. But if others get physically hurt from ones actions then theres a problem, but this is not the case. No one is getting hurt. So then why is the Harper government super opposed to the legalication of cannabis?

Quick question to all those calling us low lifes and losers. Have any of you actually tried it, or do any of you have friends, family who do it. Because if you have tried or you know people who do it, you will know it has no negative affect, I can't ever recall waking up one day after being baked and saying "what the fuck happened last night, where am I?" Im never worried or over stressed, I go about buisness and worry about my own shit, just like the other 90% of pot smokers.

@darksmileify people are going to do it anyways, as of now, it is easier for me to acquire acid or cocaine than alcohol because of the fact that acid and cocaine are illegal. the dealer down the road isn't going to be asking me for my id anytime soon. if you claim to know the thoughts of most teens, then what's stopping me from saying that because it's illegal, more teens will do it simply for the rush they feel for rebelling against societal conventions?

@darksmileify how is using a substance to help you relax selfish? what do you do to relax? because marijuana is only as addictive as video games, or anything else that produces dopamine when you do it, keep in mind that this also includes chewing gum, is it not selfish to say that anything that produces these chemicals within the brain is selfish. and i think you have "use" confused with "abuse". you are basically equating moderation with overuse, which cannot be so because they are opposites.
