@Bassbait dont you DARE talk shit on between the buried and me, NOTHING they write is even remotely generic, and they've gotten better with every album. That's not to discount atheist as a great and influencial band, they were ahead of their time but BTBAM is doing a lot of innovative things, they sound amazing, and are great song writers. and as a BTBAM fan, I'd never complain that Atheist's songwriting is too technical - if anything its too simple.

Hah, BTBAM fan is trying to get at Atheist. The reality is, Atheist defined and perfected a style of music that BTBAM can't come close to even trying to imitate. BTBAM isn't a terrible band, but Atheist are one of the leaders in the Technical movement, and a song like this makes any random BTBAM song look bad. BTBAM is more towards the "generic" side. And plus, there are bands far more technical than BTBAM and Atheist, but BTBAM fans would complain that it's "too technical".

I know that's not BTBAM, just takin' the piss. Technically, there are many more technical bands than BTBAM, and use it to a greater effect.
