  • It seems his audience here are developers... I think he has put a spin on his usual pitch. But even though, his assertions on "asking users what they want, doesn't give you the answers to what they really need" highlights the need/value of 'contextual enquiry' and field studies to uncover automatic processes that we all do without realising we are doing and to uncover valuable user artefacts.

  • asking users is abdication of the design responsibility

  • Man, I wish I was at that talk.

  • They laugh because it's true. I would have loved to hear his talk on interaction design.
