1971 Datsun 240Z Dual SU Powered 2.9L Screaming down the Interstate

This is my "slightly" Modified 71 240Z with bored out Dual SU's and a 2.9LThis Z has run a best time of 12.804 @ 107.26 mph at Rockingham Dragway on normal street tires. even though it is LOUD, the exhaust is VERY RESTRICTIVE as it was done with crush bends instead of Mandrel bends so when I'm at the track I drop the exhaust with one hanger bolt at the back of the car and slide it all out in one piece. This run was done with a 3.54 rear end I have 4.11 in it now.

Well good job! I was just surprised how she could rev with that longer stroke. Sheit man you take her up to 8K very often? Ha!

@deadflo Yeah its a Maxima Diesel Crank with stock 280 rods and pistons. I shaved the pistons .020" on my garage floor with emery paper and then balanced them to within 0.1 gram . I run TWO headgaskets with a .070" shaved ported and polished N42 head for an overall 10.7:1 Compression Ratio

That is narly, man! Ive got a stock 240-Z. Never ran it past 6K. But mine was still pulling hard at that RPM. I cant believe how high you revved this thing! Is it a stroker , with L 28 crank?
