My mom almost lost her cat to a great horned owl. He picked Red up and flew for the better part of 150 ft before he lost his grip and dropped him...cat survived just fine .

I live in Florida and also have a great horned owl that perches on my flagpole at night. Sometimes I see him swoop down and grab frogs in my pool area. He never messes with my 2 Jack Russell Terriers even though he's about 20-24 inches tall!
