In 1990, Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood recorded two songs together: 'Me And You' (a.k.a. 'Is It True') and 'Get What You Want'. They wanted to release these as a single ('Me And You' as the a-side and 'Get What You Want' as the b-side) but, according to an interview with Roy Wood in 1994, they "couldn't get anybody interested in it". Here are both of the songs.

It is quite difficult to get these songs, but they can be found on several bootlegs (such as the bootleg album 'ELO - Into the Light'). Roy Wood has said he's hoping to release a compilation album sometime in the future which is supposed to include one of the two songs.

Please apologies for the poor sound quality, it was because at the time of posting I only had some poor quality copies of the songs (but since then I've gotten better quality versions).

Roy has said in interviews he was wanting to introduce a brass section into ELO before he left, and he said that the music ELO were making after he left was "different" (in a good way!) to what would could've happened if he'd stayed. My guess is that the music might have sounded something like a cross between The Move and Wizzo Band.

Me and You sounds like it would be included on Balance of Power or Secret Messages while Get What You Want on a Traveling Wilburys CD if Roy Wood had been in those bands

I don't think Roy Wood is in either one of these recordings,it's Jeff Lynne and Dave Edmunds, I think and it sounds like demos that never made it to albums.
