Frats at SDSU Were Not Cause of Drug Bust

I created this video in response to the 10,000+ visitors that visited www.understandmyteen.com/blog/ in the first 48 hours after the "SDSU Drug Bust" that ocurred on May 6th, 2008.

Before you jump to conclusions about "frats" understand that less then 1% of the entire fraternity and sorority population at SDSU was involved in the arrests!

Keep in mind that there is around 40K people that go here (I think that's the number), so a couple of a**holes shouldn't make you think the whole school sucks.

I understand where you're coming from though. Certain people can be a bit shady sometimes.

The media tend to do story that makes someone or something look bad. I understand how you are saying the media focus more on the bad things of fraternities rather than the good things. The same is for celebrity news. The ones that have done something bad to stir up contreversy are the ones getting more attention than the ones that have something positive.

I agree with you JetHawk. I totally understand that controversy sells and this situation made a great sellable story for the media.

I just think that it's a good thing to try to show the world a different side of the story. Plus, I'm way into internet marketing and it's great to bring something that I want to learn (internet marketing) behind something that I feel really positive about (Greeks being looked at positively).

Thank you for this. I was not Greek in college, but I think it's a great institution, and it's sad that the media focuses on the few "bad apples" and ignores all the wonderful things that fraternities and sororities do to help their schools and the community.
