Ron Paul has known Chuck Baldwin for a long time. He would not endorse him unless he believes he is the bast candidate running. As president he would support, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States so help him God. He cannot be bought.

I have no clue who Jerry Falwell is or Barry Goldwater. If Baldwin said that he is not for free and open trade between all nations then you will be able to prove it. Right? I don't know why you hate Baldwin so much as I like him but I am shear that you will tell me. Also Baldwin never said that he puts the Bible first be for the constitution.

Baldwin just said yesterday in his debate with Nader and Barr that he wants to keep American jobs here in America. That's classic protectionist rhetoric. I guess you have no qualms with Baldwin being an officer in Falwell's Moral Majority. I remember the Barry Goldwater was the one who said any good Christian would kick Jerry Falwell in the ass! Baldwin believes the written word in the Bible trumps the Constitution which is the first step down the road of having a theocratic state.

When you look at Chuck Baldwin's profile on the website "On The Issues", it says he wishes to reimpose tariffs on all foreign imports to keep jobs here. That's definitely a protectionist's mentality and something that Ron Paul and Bob Barr completely object to.

Chris, we would trade and have good relations with all nations. You may have heard that we want to put a tariff or a tax on imports. This is the only tax that would fund the US federal government: all other taxes, primarily the personal income tax, would be taken away and repealed. We do look for good relations with other countries, and trade is a great way of accomplishing good goals together without having the bad entangling alliances.

I'll admit if Bob Barr wasn't running I'd probably vote for Chuck Baldwin. Even though I'm a Lutheran, I have very strong opinions against the Religious Right and Jerry Falwell. When I saw that Baldwin had very close ties to Falwell, that was the main reason why I chose Bob Barr. I just think it was a mistake for Ron Paul to endorse Chuck Baldwin when he previously stated that he did not want split the liberty movement by giving his endorsement to either Barr or Baldwin.

But I am shear that Ron Paul had his reasons. But I have to say that is what nice taking with you and hearing all what you have to say.
