  • That's nice but how does it sound with a bow? Almost every contact pick-up that I've tried sounds too harsh with the bow. Even when I record with my bow, I try to have a quiet room and place the mic at about 10 feet from the bass so I get a warm wood sound and not string and bow noise. I wish and HOPE that someone develops a pick that really sounds real.

  • Always he's words are and will be for me big help in any way...Acoustic, Electric, harmony, Improvisation, whatever...Thank Dear John, God Bless You Man!!!

  • dang.....I'm gonna practice until I sound like that!

  • Hey nickidame! I'm a uprighr bass player and I'm from Memphis, Tn. I don't think that any of the music stores here has that pickup. So how are you liking it and whats your thoughts on it?

  • Fantastic and thank you... I'm a proud owner of one of these and love it. I got this link as part of a discussion thread on TalkBass ... There are some experiments on placement and positioning that may be of interest. YouTube won't let me paste the link properly, but try this search term "Realist SoundClip Review / Tips"

  • I reeeally need to get my hands on that pickup!! Wow!! John Pattitucci...the master
