I have the very similar Cabela's Westwind Deluxe 8. I looked into this one as well, but the Westwind was a better price and got better reviews. It is also bigger (they have 4, 6, and 8 person models). I've had better experience with Cabela's quality than REI's.

Typical of me, I buy then I check the reviews. Now I know I didn't make a mistake. Going to do a tent setup video? Great job.

@JamesOGTV Yes it is. I do most of my camping in Ohio's Wayne National Forest.

Are these as good as Eureka tents?

@TexasMan77 YES! We used Eureka tents for several years in Colorado..and REI tents are as good or better

Nice video. When you reviewed the inside, looks like you had a cot on one side and an air matress on the other. Are you just using it to sleep 2 people? DIdn't look like there was much room for anyone else as it sounds like you have two little ones. Just curious cuz I'm in the same boat. Currently shopping for a six person tent to accomodate my wife and my two kids (both under 10).

@Eyepod24 thanks for watching...it was just me and a buddy on this trip..but I have had the whole family (4...now 5) in it with no problem. If you want to be spending time inside the tent you might want to look for a larger one. Problem with going larger is that you going to give up some things...like rain proof and wind proof. I wanted a bomb proof type tent that was large enough to hold my family but I did not have to worry about rain or wind.

Nice tent. Geodesic pole design. Bet it really holds up to strong winds.
