Bald Eagle hunts small duck (diving in Lake Washington trying to escape) with many passes until success. The sounds you hear are from other witnesses. Location: Seattle, Lake Washington Boulevard S, just South of I-90 Bridge. Date: January 21, 2007 at about 4:10 PM Camera: Cannon S2 IS

  • Can't see the duck? Well, that is what is interesting. The duck doesn't want to be seen as it swims below the surface to escape the eagle. But the eagle may see the duck below the surface while the duck can't see the eagle above. Watch how the eagle hunts the duck. After the eagle grabs it the duck can be heard, and seen under the eagle's white tail as it flies away. Use your mouse to stop the video and find a frame where it is visible.

  • Awesome footage! I have seen them go after ducks, but never with success. Must have been cool to see.
