THEY DON'T HAVE RACHEL'S LUXURY - She can address a narrow segment of society; THEY took an oath to REPRESENT ALL THEIR CONSTITUENTS - DEM AND GOPreditor. Pr. Obama is the smartest and most responsible of them all - POLITICALLY RESPONSIBLE AND BRILLIANT, he refuses to take the low road of 1. focusing on the Hill (vs ALL Americans) and 2. focusing on just the Dems. HIS IS THE WAY TO GENERATE POLITICAL CAPITAL - THE ONLY WAY TO GET WHAT WE NEED.

This is a trend I'm noticing. Thumping the constitution and declaring health care reform "unconstitutional" in the same way christian conservatives thump the bible to back up their arguments. Like their religious counterparts, I get the impression these guys haven't actually READ the document they're thumping because when you ask "Why?" they have no answer. None. The constitution isn't even that big of a document, they should at least have a VAGUE answer to back up that claim but no.

The only reason the GOP are opposed to it, because WHEN it passes, they WILL lose out on millions in campaign contributions. Tough shit Republicans. I can't wait to see the expression on their faces when Obama signs the bill. Obama/Weiner 2012, because no Republican will win. If Obama stops the lie Iraq War, then Obama won't even need to campaign.

Really, single out one Republican who opposes the bill and call it a party position. The Dems voted down in 93 the measure she is talking about, they also voted down 6 other attempts at healthcare reform by republicans going as far back as the Nixon administration. This bill is socialized medicine and a multitrillion dollar nightmare, that is why all Republicans are opposed to it. If it passes anyhow you will soon find out why and we will never be rid of it.
