I play my E1M9 edit on all four difficulties of Wolfenstein 3D.

There are three levels of enemies in Wolfenstein 3D: 1, 3, and 4.
"Can I Play, Daddy?" is the Baby difficulty, and for good reason - not only do you take less damage from enemies, but only level 1 foes will appear. This difficulty essentially exterminates the fun of playing the game.
"Don't Hurt Me" is the Easy difficulty. Like in "Can I Play, Daddy?" you only face level 1 foes, but you take full damage this time around.
"Bring 'em On" is the Normal difficulty. You face levels 1 and 3 of the Nazi arsenal here. Like in "Don't Hurt Me", you take full damage.
"I am Death Incarnate!" is the Hard difficulty, and for good reason: Hitler sends out all three levels of Nazis against you while you're taking full damage.

You will mostly notice the difficulty difference when I am fighting the Guards at the beginning of the level, and then again when I fight Hans Grosse.

  • Why do you think it's pronounced "gro-say"? It's "gross" or, even more accurately, "grawss."

  • @linesinaconversation Didn't think the e was silent.

  • Use ChaosEdit

  • @AlexTorres1988 Already got it.

IIRC I had to use it for "Oh Qwark Off!" since MapEdit was borked and didn't show one of the entrance spaces properly.

  • @RaceBandit And ChaosEdit is much better

  • @AlexTorres1988 TBH I think I only used MapEdit for those glitch walls. :P

    Hope they don't crash anybody's Wolf3D ports.
