We all know that The Dark Knight Rises will be a dark movie, But Christian Bale gives some insight on the psychology of The Dark Knight.
.
Hey movie buffs, Joshua Ovenshire here for Clevver Movies. On July 20th of this year, we get to take in the MOST anticipated movie of the year. The epic conclusion to Christopher Nolan's Batman movies, The Dark Knight Rises. Now Batman has been seen as a borderline fascist due to his ideas of law and order. But this time around Bale describes his character as anarchic.
.
"He [Bruce Wayne] knows that there are parallels between him and his enemies because life is never stable — you always have to fight for it."
.
Now, the Bruce Wayne/Batman character is very interesting and very deep. Why does he stay as Batman for so long? And this is actually a big part of The Dark Knight Rises. Bale asks the deeper question,
.
"How long will you let the pain and loss define your life?"
.
Is this just Christian Bale answering a question, or is he reflecting how Bruce Wayne feels in the movie. If that be the case, it sheds some light on a dark part of the story that Nolan will be telling. It's sounding to be a great mix of inner turmoil and external conflict that will take our breath away this summer.
,
But Bale wasn't the only one talking about his character these days. Tom Hardy opened up about the hardest part of portraying the super villain Bane...the Mask. Yep, he said it was too tight and very uncomfortable. He talks about how he eventually got used to it, but jokes about being able to get used to anything eventually. Poor Tom. But I'm sure it'll all be worth it in the end.
.

  • @MexicanDicer Dude it's based on a series of comics. That, my friend, is the source material.

  • @syafiqjabar Note all the Jokers from the comics have had the same general background though.

  • @GGBK28 actually joker does really how a background there are a lot of comics that hint at it but joker always seems to leave it up to the reader if its true or not.

  • @TheRandomeez me 2 bro i guess were having a sick ass b day!

  • @corneliusofdark eat me

  • I think maybe Bruce loses Alfred and has to cope with having lost everything. Alfred provided him with support and reassurance and now he is gone. I think in this film he will fully fledge into The Dark Knight and is mentally in a dark place. Being Batman is a lonely life.

  • Now we have to put this 2 quotes togheter:

"It's not who you are underneath, it's what you do that defines you"

"How long will you let the pain and loss define your life?"

  • I was looking forward for this movie this year but PJ "The Hobbit" trailer took me of BATMAN to BILBO BAGGINS..

  • im expecting a visit to thomas and marthas graves, it has yet to be seen in the Nolan universe.

  • marvel is better

  • @ClevverMovies : Hell Yea!!!! All thanks To Nolan!...Hey wait, but he doesn't know it's my birthday ... :O

  • @jonnemesis11 I never meant to imply that you never read the comic if I did. And I never said they were the same in the movie as they were in the comics. I only said that the "soul" of the source material is in the dimensional character of Batman, not the fantastical things such as lazarus pits. And even if the characters are different in the movie, they're different in comic book with a different author why do people jump on Nolan's back. Look at Frank Miller Joker and Grant Morrison Joker
