@btocp Thank you. Biting is a viable option. Situational awareness is key though. Train everyting you can, Know what is possible. Know how to enact and react with as many tactics as possible. It is imporntant to know how to do sport on a mat. It is also importnant to train in all the other possibilites that may come. Such as knives,guns,mulitple enemies, location,"dirty tactics".,danger to life. Learning self defense and self reliance is a life long journey. Learn as much as you can. Be safe.

Guess you have to hope that the mugger is only wearing a thin shirt... if he's wearing even a light jacket, a heavy shirt, or, really, just a second layer of clothes, you're gonna have a tough time making your bite effective...
Biting isn't a bad idea, but it's just as situational as everything else in a fight.
