Ford F150 4.2 Open Exhaust

My Ford F150 4.2L V6. This is the sound of the exhaust being open. I am running MAC shorty headers in this video and a 45* angle piece after the headers. I hit the rev limiter at 5K (I set it there because I wanted to hit it) so you could hear the whole RPM range.

@pawnstor Eh the headers don't do that much... The 4.2 manifolds arent that badly designed... I'm putting a 408 stroker in this truck and put a magnaflow wide open muffler on it. Its a little raspy past 2k rpm but its fine for now. when I put my 408 in it will make up for it.

ey saw this video and wanted to ask does the MAC shorty headers really help...i have the same motor an 02 and just wanted to know what you think...also the dual exhaust sound and performance is it worth it?

@MPRdrummer ya I have a sct tuner. Truck has a few things done to it. Alot more is coming.

it does sound better with nothing on it but damn my 4.2l sucks as it is with everything stock I cant imagine messing with the compression that bad, im guessing you dropped around 30hp ?

but hell it does sound good, id run some hyperchips or something, it made a big difference in my truck

I think it sounds better with no exhaust than it does with the stock exhaust and no cats.
