  • @Mezteck actually she does. I ask her to sit and she sits. I tell her go lay down she goes to her bed and lays down. I say go to your kennel she does it and no I don't beat her just a simple snap on the leash and a quick repeat and we move on. In the off chance she doesn't do it. Huge praise when she does. I will always have her leash and her favourite toy whenever we are out. So if I decide in while walking in the park to have a training session my tools are right there.

  • @Marieantonia1990 Chances are your dog doesn't actually know what the word "sit" means. Remember, dogs don't speak our language. It's important for the clicker training process to be done in steps and in short sessions. The best thing to do when you think your pup knows the cue "sit" and he doesn't sit, is to simply ignore him. He didn't sit so no treat for him, his lost. Remember, only say the cue once! Repeating the cue until he sits and then rewarding him may teach him to sit on the 4th sit.

  • I am just wondering how do you correct your dog if they don't sit when you ask them to sit? I am sorry but I don't see how this is effective especially with pups.
