The House of MORE!: Three Generations of Drag - April 26, 2011

Miss Juanita MORE! has been involved with the HIV/AIDS community in San Francisco since the mid 80's and remains a tireless activist, fundraiser, DJ, and community builder, continuing to break ground with style and generosity. In this Queer Studies Lecture Series presentation, Juanita MORE! shared the stage with her drag mother, Glamamore, and her drag daughter, Candi Gurl, to share how drag families bring support, activism, and community through this powerful alternative form of belonging. The Annual SSU Queer Studies Lecture Series is made possible thanks to the Women's and Gender Studies Department, the Queer Studies Minor, and the SSU Instructionally Related Activities Program.
