  • i have visited Nicaragua in 2010 it was a very nice place but it depends where you are ,not everything is attractive like any other place... but i love going there. :)

  • Safe it is, but you have to know where to go. I would recommend something like a tour guide, or to go with someone that knows the good and bad parts of Nicaragua. All places are the same. There are good parts and bad parts of town. I was born over there, so I stay with my uncle in a nice neighborhood. I rent a car to get around, and never have my window open. Thiefs love to grab your watch at the stop lights.

  • @chn817 Nicaragua is not that beautiful and it is considered the worst country in central america not because it's apearence but because the people, from nicaragua they emigrate to countries like Honduras and Costa Rica and that has given bad reputation to these two countries , in Honduras they donate guns to dangerous groups fron nicaragua an el salvador in these country and its the same in Costarica ):

  • @cubanlink1000 Yes, significantly cheaper. Your can proliferate your money for a bit longer than you would in neighboring Costa Rica. Costa Rica is nice, but the tourist hype made it way too expensive. People now prefer to opt out to Nicaragua since it's cheaper and comparatively safe. Guess you can say more bang for the buck.

  • @MsBickle76 Not sure what you mean. The economy over there has been booming and jobs have been on the rise. Extreme poverty has plummeted, too. I'm not a big fan of Ortega, but he's doing something right over there.

  • @chn817 Statistically, yes, it's ranked the safest in Central America given the latest TeleSur report. Anywhere you go, you get hustled. I went to Morocco, Costa Rica and even in France. If you're a tourist, you're bound to be a target. I hope you travel a bit more and don't agonize your Nicaraguan experience. Consider going back after you travel a bit more! (Assuming you're not a world traveler.)

  • Ok, my parents are from here & I went ONCE & NEVER went back!!! "Safest" place, YEAH RIGHT!!! We got hustled the FIRST day for our money!! Now, i'm sure not everyone that visits, will have a bad experience, but my first & only visit was a nightmare! I couldn't wait to get back home.

  • The Motherland...its what it is...love it either way, real talk.

  • The motherland keeps getting worse.

  • @Fidelines ok?
