I think his point was that the Gilded Age was a step in the right direction and that the post WWI mindset has sidetracked this. Although I have to say I think he was wrong not to point out government collusion during the Gilded Age.

He doesn't miss a beat. Put any of the other windbags on a talk show and you got a sleepfest. Ron Paul is brilliantly simple and he knows is history. He is going to be a great president.
