@TheBaum94 I'm with ya there!! I'm a session bassist & The Dubliners always put me in a great mood, esp. this song. I've played this to a couple of hip-hop friends & esp. when they hear the end that it was live & the reaction was always the same...."DAMN!!!" I love it!! None can hold a candle to this....

Apparently using this as a basis for our Euro 2012 song, brilliant choice. ROCKY ROAD TO POLAND.
God I love Irish music, it is the very definition of joy.

In Mullingar that night I rested limbs so weary,
Started by daylight next morning blithe and early,
Took a drop of pure to keep me heartfrom sinking;
Thats a Paddy's cure whenever he's on drinking.
See the lassies smile, laughing all the while
At me curious style, 'twould set your heart a bubblin'
Asked me was I hired, wages I required,
I was almost tired of the rocky road to Dublin
now shurely every one heard that!
