You're right, though - the setup and swag were fantastic. The length of the show was also unusual (more like a Cure gig than most of the 60-to-90-minute shows bands usually play). I really enjoyed the second encore, though Im not sure why they came out for just one song the first time?

My only big complain about the experience was our own fault. We had a ticket at the Guest list windows but werent paying attention and waited through that whole wraparound line first...oh well! We were super grateful for the camera policy..doubt Virgin will be as grateful

but... for such a high profile show where video and audio recording was perfectly ok, i'm surprised there aren't more songs up from last night's show. hopefully they'll release some of it on their own. for such a long day of setting up, waiting in line, rehearsing, etc, you'd think there would be tons to show.

I definately saw some people in front of me getting much longer clips with better cameras from better viewpoints, but no idea if they're going to post. As for me, I couldnt figure out why my SD card only had 10 minutes of space available on it (I left the HD vid cam at home)...turns out I left a bunch of my art from Artomatic in a place the camera couldnt delete. Ugh.

I'm old enough to have been lucky enough to see them at the opening of the current 9:30 club (and to have seen the nether regions of the "old" 9:39 club) and I guess the prospect of waving 20s in 95 degree heat was a bit old for my 40 year-old self, so opted for the opening of the HP flick instead. But thank you for posting. . .fur rises a bit :-)
