  • Not only that, soulierinvestments -- but listen to the audience reaction when Hermione Gingold (!) steps onto the stage!!! I mean, can you imagine your typical studio audience going into hysterics today over, say, Dame Judi Dench or Dame Helen Mirren? *I* would, but I hate to say, I think I'm in the minority on that one. Milley Cirus would rate a better ovation. Sad. Anyway, this was fantastic, and Ms. Gingold was a riot.

  • She was a riot. She once signed an album cover for me (A Little Night Music) in Chappels of Bond st. wearing a rather dodgy wig, a Balenciaca tailleur and large saphire earings. "Why do you want me to deface a perfectly nice record sleeve, young man" She asked me in that incredible voice. I was undone.

  • @tjbnyc76 Maybe not Judi Densch but Helen Mirren? People woud go insane over Helen. That is one hot Dame!

  • @antod11

i was sad to see in an interview that she did not miss england very much :(

  • Was she drunk?

  • bennet serf never gets the names or plays right.

  • In my low moments I come to YouTube and treat myself to sequences from both this show and You Bet Your Life. I end up feeling much better.

  • @epmorris Wonderful story! Thanks for sharing! I love it when YT posters know the stars featured!!

  • Does anyone have the rest of this episode? I would love you forever...even though I wouldn't know you! :)

  • I've been hoping that someone would post La Gingold singing "Cocaine," even if just the album track itself. It's hilarious, starting with her spoken intro, "Don't you get rather depressed by films about drug addicts? I do. If we have to have films about drug addicts, why can't they be musicals? It would be so much more cheerful!"

  • @Kate8790 Ha, I was just thinking the same thing. And with so little of her face showing!

  • Wow, Arlene looks quite beautiful here. She must have just come back from vacation.
