http://maschinetutorials.com this is a tutorial about how I use native instruments maschine to control vst instruments in reaper. I wanted to try it out in reaper because it seemed like an easy app to route in. Also it gets out of the way and let's me use maschine to sequence everything. It's a pretty slick setup and works wonderfully. You can download my reaper template over at http://soundsandgear.com/native-instruments-maschine-sequencing-vst-instrumen...

  • Hello! My Name Is Edgar And I Have Recently Purchased a AKAI MPK MINI MIDI controller and im learning about routing the correct channels and midi functions to produce the correct sounds. now I have a VST called aptrigger and it allows me to capture samples and I want my midi controller to learn it to a pad or if not a knob.but i need a little bit more explaining.

  • @BLACKxxSMOKE well you can record whatever you want but it's not linear like a daw so it would be like recording a sample. If you want to use a daw def checkout reaper, it's cheap and can do pretty much what you need.

  • @SoundsAndGear tru tru. I've been wondering if I'm going not need anything else with 1.6, and I figured if I did I would just use Reaper. Can you record with a mic into the 1.6 software or would I need a seperate DAW for that?

  • @BLACKxxSMOKE thanks fam, I don't use it this way anymore since Maschine loads vsts, but it's still a cool setup. Nah I don't have any beat cds out.

  • Damn nice vid man. I just ordered my maschine and gotta wait for that bitch to come in the mail. I'm probably going to run it through reaper so this gives me a good idea of what it'll be like. You got any beat cds or anything I can check out. I'm digging that groove you were layin out.

  • @asamayub i'm not one to say what is a better program for anyone because it depends on the person. You can do a lot more in FLStudio since it is a full daw, meaning you can record vocals, etc. Which Maschine isn't made to do. They can work together, for sure. I"m not a FL user personally, and I like Maschine the best for creating music, but I don't look at it as a daw. If I want to record vocals or something I'll open up Studio One, etc.
