It just breaks my heart that they couldn't make it work and Peter's right, Mini-me who is up there right now in his makeup is not him and never will be. Kiss right now is like half and half- half cream (Gene and Paul) and the rest is watery stuff.

I love the original line up, but I was too young to ever see it. So with Tommy and Eric in Ace and Pete's make up, seeing them last year was like the next best thing. I know the make up politics will never end, but think about it this way. Everyone who loves KISS wants to see the band in full make up, original members or not.

At the beginning of the reunion tour, Paul said, "We made a mistake bringing in new members and putting them in makeup. The make up belonged to the original 4." Of course, that quote needs to be revised to something like, "The makeup belongs to Gene and I and we will put anyone we see fit in it."
The persona is NOT interchangable. There's only one Ziggy Stardust. There can't be another Alice Cooper. There's only one Demon, Starchild, Space Ace and Catman.

I agree, new members should come up with their own personas, not try to masquerade as the originals.
