I made my gaffi club end out of a wooden candy bowl from AC Moore (Craft store). The spike was made by heating up a sheet of plastic with a heat gun, then poking a wood dowel down inside. After that I filled the inside with expanding foam, let harden, trimmed the extra, and hot-glued to wood bowl. You can find styrene sheets on ebay. Total cost about $15. Total work time, about 30mins.
Hope this helps.

Tools needed: Dremel, triangle-shaped file, Heat Gun, X-acto knife.

  • Very realistic how you added the band-aid on your finger after the dremel part.

  • Wow nice.

  • that is too cool. Awesome looking spike. I agree with the bend in the staff looking like a piece of bent plastic though. You might be able to use a 45deg bend pvc adapter.

  • Big thanks, tk409! I know now how to make the :spike" for the club end of the gaffi stick. Keep up the good work!

  • I totally agree with you. Thanks for the suggestion!

  • that's great! i tried something similar once, but got a lot of excellent ideas from your video. if i ever make another gaffi, it will look suspiciously like yours!
