European Shield 2009 - Czech Republic v Germany - Highlights

On a hot summers day the Czechs took on Germany in Olomouc in the 2009 European Shield. Having been heavily defeated in the annual clash two year running the Czechs wanted to make amends. The Germans were caught napping 10 minutes in and from there the Czechs had the initiative running away with their first international win. They beat Germany 30-4.

The European Shield is an annual Tri-Nations in Europe one level below the European Cup. The 2009 installment had the Czech republic, Germany and Italy taking part.
