When Fox News called the omnibus spending bill currently before the U.S. Congress "the President's $410 billion omnibus spending bill," I didn't think it was quite fair nor did I think it was fair the way Fox News presented one of the earmarks in that bill as I explain in this video.

The Fox News clip in this video comes from "Studio B With Shepard Smith" (with Gregg Jarrett substituting for Shepard Smith) broadcast on March 4, 2009.

The two images I fairly used from the Providence Tattoo Removal Program website are available at http://www.providence.org/resources/losangeles/tattoo/media/LAT_nunerase.pdf

And at http://www.providence.org/losangeles/services/tattooremoval/default.htm

And, finally, as always, you can find DOZENS and DOZENS more examples of Fox News bias on my Fox News bias playlist on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=A3BD2524FE99BD4D

  • Google Ron Paul Youtube Ron Paul. Smart logical True American.

  • 200k? you could build a few cruise missiles for that surely.....

  • I would think that i f you want to change your life for the better and get away from crime, NOT having a huge swatiska tattooed on your face would be a plus.

  • I agree prevention is the goal but this not about prevention these are people who have already been involved in gangs. I think its a good program and a worth wild charity but my only issue is when Federal Tax Dollars are used for it. I also agree with the person posting the video that FOX really does not explain the program well but when it comes to cable news channels I think it is not realy fair to single out FOX when anyone looking at it objectively would say most news organizations all do it

  • @frankiegmh I think if it can help criminals turn their lives around, it makes people safer, and in a way, isn't that what we're spending our money on already? (police for example, the end result hopefully being safer streets, less in prisons = less federal money too)

Prevention is better than a cure, and an early cure is better than a late one :)

  • If removing gang-related tattoos will help keep people out of prison (a very costly thing in itself), then yes, it's a good use of funds.

And no, as usual FOX did not give anything resembling information. All it did was campaign.

  • I don't think the question is if the program is good one the question is if the government should be using Federal tax dollars to pay for it. I am sure that it is a good program but I don't think it is right to force people to give to charity by giving tax dollars to these types of organizations.

  • I have tattoos and does that make me one of them? You decide.

Answer: Yes it is a waste of taxpayer money.

Why should we help pay for another persons misfortunes? Or ordeals? While I appreciate is run by a Catholic(I'm one), it is in my opinion unconstitutional to provide our own money for the forsaken of another. Let em go private and all churches pretty much are.

  • No money for god. His kook followers shill up enough cash.
