Bill Jennings on guitar in this 1953 jump/R&B song. He did a lot with Louis Jordan & Bill Doggett plus many jazz recordings. Couldn't find this on youtube among the many repeats of Roy Brown's usual songs. http://www.ModCollectibles.com

Hi - yes I know. Letter to Baby is on Mighty Mighty Man, like "Hound Dog...." "Letter from Home is on the Route 66 and even there the booklet says it's Jimmy Davis. Also in different discos. On the other hand you can even hear it's not Jennings because the phrasing and style is totally different. Believe me, it's not him!!! Best

Sorry but this is not Bill Jennings on guitar !!!! It's Jimmy Davis for sure.... Jennings is on the track "Mr. Hound Dog Is in Town" on the cd "Mighty Mighty Man"

Jennings is on that Hound Dog song in the CD you mention, and "Letter From Home" is not on that CD. Everywhere you look, such as sessionographies, Roy Brown CD's such as "Laughing But Crying" & "1951-1953" that do not list Jimmy Davis on any songs, but credit Bill Jennings, and other sources.
Maybe you're confusing this song with Roy's tune "Letter to Baby", though I haven't researched who's on guitar on THAT one.. :)
