I am very happy with how this turned out. The initial idea behind this illustration was not to be done in markers, but I wanted to do a marker version of it as well. I just couldn't help but fall in love with the idea of a rainbow of colors raining down on this grey, yet happy, girl. Speaking of the girl, I really like how she turned out. Especially since I only used 5 shades of grey on her. :3

Here is a list of all the colors I used. (All of the markers used are Copics)

Paper: Plain White Cardstock
Lineart: Done with Copic Multiliners (Clouds were done with a blue Prismacolor Color Multiliner)
Girl: C1, C2, C3, C5, C7, 0, 100
Clouds: B000, B00
Rain: RV29, YR07, YR04, Y17, Y04, YG03, G05, BG18, B06, V17, V09
White gel pen used for highlights
Photoshop used to enhance colors.

Music does not belong to me. It's "Super Friendly" by Kevin MacLeod. It can be found here: http://incompetech.com/m/c/royalty-free/index.html?genre=Electronica&page=1

  • congrats on the dd, but I realised one thing, is it the markers or the paper but when i use markers to colour it always makes my paper ruined D:

if it is, where can i find those :D

  • @pictureversion Thank you! About the paper... I'm not sure what you mean by ruined. If you mean like it tears holes in your paper, then it's the markers. Markers that rip paper are usually water-based. The markers I'm using are copics, and they are alcohol-based, kinda like Sharpies. If your paper is simply warping or the markers are bleeding through a lot, I would try a thicker paper. I use regular White Cardstock, or when I need lots of detail, I use Bristol Smooth. :) Hope this helped!

  • Wow, I'm glad you got the DD! :D

  • @Respectical Thank you!!! *hugz*

  • Congratulations on the Daily Deviation

  • @thezora911 Thank you so much! :D

  • @HyoudenKitsune i don't know, my paper turns fuzzy, and i dont know where i can get other things , do i need to make my way to an art shop, or would a regular bookshop do? well thanks for the advise :D

  • @HyoudenKitsune Thanks :D

  • I will look for that thanks! :D xoxo

  • @EdithaHavok Hi there! I've tried lots of different types of paper, but my favorite is Bristol Smooth paper. It's nice and thick, and the colors blend easily on it without bleeding very much. Smooth Bristol is kind of expensive though, so my next choice of paper is just plain old White Cardstock. :D I hope I've helped!
