DIY automatic poultry feeder using PVC pipe and a mason jar feeder. I do not recommend you trying to heat and bend PVC pipe as it off gasses toxic fumes when heated.
@drango451 Yeah, I actually used a big tote lid hung off the side of the hutch, then made the tarp overhang, then I started using it just for scratch so wetness didn't matter, but now, I just toss the food in among them and watch them scratch the ground... This video was from the good idea fairy and did not pass the common sense test long term.
you know, I thought about that a few days later, and I plan on building a overhanging roof over the entire setup so I can move the rabbits out from under my carport... But temporarily I am using a 2 liter soda bottle with the end cut off, and slid over the "funnel"
Yes, 50/50 cracked corn and crumbles. But mostly they have a large run to eat bugs...
Please let us know how it works in the long term.... Looks like you'll have issues with wet, rotting feed if you don't have a way to protect your opening from the weather. You ARE feeding a layer mash and not just corn, right??
Don't you need a cover on the outside fill to keep moisture / rain out of the feed?
