  • These tests are a waste of time, no one shakes this much. Show the camera in real scenarios such as zooming, panning etc. Then we can see how good the image stabilization is, im not going to be in an earthquake everyday...

  • stabilization tests are too short, give them 10 seconds more or so

depend on shake how strong or middle or weak shake

  • You sir made me dizzy and made me puke!

  • Panasonic has the best OIS going with Sony a close second. No other companies compare with them, including Canon. Go to Best Buy and check them for yourselves.

  • DOG1222!!!!

  • lmfao that dog is freaking hilarious

  • I understand what your saying but still you must have a very weak wrist to shake this much, plus being in full zoom whilst walking etc. is just bad practice.

  • Also, try whatching the same test done with the Sony HDR-XR520V, Panasonic HDC-TM300, Panasonic HDC-SD20 and Canon XLH1A , I'm sure you'll see the difference in the OIS performance of each camcorder and realize how effeciant these tests are

  • Well, this doesn't test the stabilization performance while earthquakes or shaking in a cold wether, it tests it while zooming and moving. Whether you were walking, having a very shaky hand, or sitting in the back seat of a car and taking some shots while zooming, the picture will come shaky, close to what it is in this test with the stabilization off specially in high zoom levels.

  • There are 3 kinds of stabilization systems:

    1. Sensor Image Stabiliazation SIS (This are almost same as nr. 2)

    2. Optical Image Stabilization OIS (Best)

    3. Electronic Image Stabilization EIS (almost no diffrens)
