It wasn't supposed to be a sun, but I think the word sun describes it the best. I was just playing around with fluids again and I also tested the node editor for the first time. I think the result looks really cool and I'm probably going to bake and render some more frames till the sphere is completely filled.

    How did you get the fluid to illuminate?

    And how much time it took you to render this?

  • I used a halo texture with a maximum add value and low alpha. And I used composite nodes for some color adjustments and more glow.

    It took about 30 seconds per frame for each baking and rendering with a 2,2 GHz dual core.
