Kevin James and Chris Matthews on Appeasement

Something people seem to forget that without Chamberlain's 'Appeasement', the battles of the Western front probably would've ended a lot sooner. Oh, and a good chunk of the world would be speaking German.

In 1939, Britain didn't have the recources to declare all-out war on Germany - look at the Dunkirk evacuation in 1940; most of the rescue fleet had to be made up of private yatchs and little fishing boats.

And I wonder how the Battle of Britain would've done without all those Spitfires.

Am I the only one Reminded of this hilarious exchange:

Matthews only interrupted the man when he wasn't actually, you know, responding. Matthews asked a rather simple question: "What did Chamberlain do wrong?"

James replied with: "Appeasement! He was an appeaser!"

Matthews isn't satisfied with that answer, which no one by any rights should be. But the sad truth was, as he asked again, James used the same completely empty answer.

The main question James needed to answer was "What was the appeasement policy". James never even started answering it.
