This is Dave Pietro.... He plays lead alto in Toshiko Akyoshis big band. He's a ridiculous big band composer himself..... The guy is effing good.

it's always nice to see the musicians really having fun. just look at the bass player man!!

Why aren't there more drummers like this in the world? This guy grooves hard. Whole group sounds good, and I usually hate sax solos. This guy has heard some Maceo somewhere--his phrasing has some great funky bounce.
