Polio changed Harley Flather's life and those of his parents as well. Stricken at a very young age, Harley and his parents wondered if he was ever going to walk again. During the first two to three weeks in contagion, Harley feared he would not survive as he had no contact with anybody except his doctors and caregivers until he was out of contagion. That was 1949. Since then, Mayo Clinic has changed Harley's life again, but this time for the better. Watch this video to learn how Mayo has kept him going in various procedures, which according to Harley, make his life worth living.
