You remember how Heath Ledger died during the production of "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" and they had to finish the scenes without him? Then it actually became a better movie because of it? This is the case here.

I don't know what led to finishing the film with the half animated scenes, but honestly, I like 'em. And it's really quite enjoyable.
