"NOFX's "The Decline" is arguably considered some sort of modern day punk rock masterpiece. Basically, it's one 18-minute song that pretty much encapsulates everything NOFX is known for, commenting on the state of the USA in a political and religious sense. Topics it muses on during it's concourse includes gun control, widespread apathy and conditioning, condemning the religious right-wing and anything that ties in with the underlying theme of the countries decline."

when I saw NOFX way back in the day (2003 or 2004) they stopped in the middle of another song and started playing the part from 4:13 of this video. words can't describe the feeling in the pit when they did that. wish i was at the show last July when they played the whole thing

This is the best punk song of all time. Epic and well written lyrics with a wide range of breakdowns. Im more of a metal fan myself. But let alone best punk song, id say one of the best songs ever written. Real political message!! Id kill ta see it live!!
