Considering Toshinden was the very first 3D fighter with weapons I'd say Dissidia looks like Toshinden.

But anyway... I am tempted to download this game, since it probably wont make it out of Japan. Because Toshinden has been DEAD since Saturn. And even then it didnt do so well outside of Japan. LoL looking at the character design of this, for some reason, makes me think of Psychic Force 2012 ....dunno why(Mind you it would be interesting if they breathed life back into that game, it was funner that Battle Arena Toshinden was xD)...

Yeah bad idea Takara. Stick with what worked, fix what didn't worked. Sure introduce the new characters and all, but don't scrap the oldies. They were cool characters.
