@DonMega187 Im sorry, actully you are right. Thank you for enlightening me. I was stupid enough to juge a man by the actions he did, and not by the meaning behind it.. Im a shamed, but also glad that you made me realize. You truly are a master who sees this with his eyes.
@shiifu wrong, he's not impressed. actually he let the student attack. it's the whole point of this exercise for him to learn not to hesitate. the sifu drops his right arm and stops movement just to see if his student is gonna follow through or is he gonna hesitate. if he wanted he'd also attack the student with his instead way before that. same thing with 2:13 he drops his left hand instead on purpose of course (nobody drops their arms next to their pants unless it's on purpose)
@TheCloudXTraining that's why there should be more exchange between different schools and lineages. not to find who's wing chun style is the best or who's ego is the biggest, but for benefit of everyone. i'm sure no matter what lineage chi sao u do if u can't match the amount of practise this sifu has put on developing his skills there will be little chance of outdoing him (or any other high skilled practitioner as such)
@solaris5655 but did u look more carefully actually he gave him the opening on purpose and even dropping his left arm. this is proper way to teach by making the student notice the chances for attack instinctively
damn this is one of the best chi sao players i've seen. he looks so relaxed and the arms just fall in to their places in a way that looks like he already knew his opponent's intentions. and most i like about this is that he's teaching him to follow through with whatever chances he finds to attack through this almost impenetrable defense
@solaris5655 this is a response to your comment on a video about wing chun more specifically wong nim yi doing chi sao. In your opinion, do you think he let the openings from his student or his student outskilled him?
The difference can only be seen, if the other party is doing another style of Wing Chun Chi-Sau. Else, it'll often appear as though the master is formidable. (source: Practioner and Researcher of various Wing Chun)
the teacher is not embarassed. the student paused because he found the opening, waited for the teacher to say "da" which means go ahead to hit me. then the teacher counters the attack. this whole exercise the teacher was on the defensive so he is bound to be hit. but took the student very long to find 3 openings.

@shiifu oh yes I saw 2:13, double-hand strike to body. the student had a hard time finding opening on this great teacher.
