I am an American nurse went to a top 50 program can not find a job. If you are Canadian thinking of coming south looking for work you are wasting your time.

and yes i am a Canadian educated nurse...years and money down the drain...my friends got job offers in the u.s...it beats being here making 13 an hour working a job i hate..my dream as a child was to become a nurse now im fuckin bitter...i hate canada

there is no more shortage.... it's just a lie like everything else.... now you have people who got a nursing degree who originally hoped to have a new career because their last one didn't work out. To make the situation worse, they now don't only have no money but now they are in debt from their OSAP loan...

Recently, there has been a 'hiring' freeze
here in Toronto, GTA, Ontario. Some didn't
see it coming, as one HR put it. Went to a job
fair, and some recruiters didn't even show
up. Yes, its bad here right now.

I left the Floor to become a Lab Tech. Some have told me that i was killing people now. Because i did this. No i worked 50 to 60hr in a week. I had half my stuff in the hospital staff room. I did not go home i sleep and ate and drank the bland hospital food. I watched good Dr.s walk out the door because of the Government rules and Lawyer telling them how to be a Dr. And they are now doing that to LPNs RNs. Blame your Governments for the shortage.
