Nice vid. I have a Solo, and have used it in the Spanish Sierra Nevadas (see Youtube 'Mulhacen in winter'). No wind or rain, but it kept me warm, and kept the frost off. I'd say they're good value for money.

That tent looks like new after 36 years

I bought mine last year and the small pole cracked.. from the comments here it looks like its a common problem with them. I will try emailing them to see if they will give me replacement poles.
Otherwise a good tent if you dont mind being cramped (but then versus weight...)

Pole cracked on first 1 week trip. Luckily had gaffer tape. Gelert sent new ones out to me as well. Shame because otherwise a good tent and totally waterproof.

@curleyjoe100 i bought a 13 ltr exped dry bag,i just stuff the gelert solo in without the poles then get the air out.it does the job great.there only 7 quid too.worth investing in 1 in my opinion...happy backpacking...;-)
@Brasso182 The poles arent the best. I got a new pair from gelert, free of charge. just email them.
