A video dedicated to the indominable horses that died in the competetive world of Thoroughbred racing. The ruffian sequence was from The Ruffian Trailer created by CarlyKaiser, I did not feel that I could make a more moving sequence for that amazing filly. She broke her leg at the end of '73 and spent the winter recuperating. Was she really sound when she went back to the track in '74? How did they know for sure she was sound? Did Frank Whiteley give his horses snorts of cocaine as was alleged by Jim Squires? I loved Ruffian. Was she really well managed and trained?

in a way...zenyatta was like barbaro an ruffiain KINDA..it was like she was there to finish what they did not. because they were all so perfect ecspect for zenyattas one loose ik ruffian wud never lose but barbaro prob wud loos one.

This just touched me. So many people forgot Ruffian and Barbaro. They really did fight for their lives, some people believe Ruffian came back as Zenyatta, a second chance at her career. Both their stories are so sad, I won't ever forget any of these beautiful horses.
