He and his brother were often termed "Sons of Thunder" due to their preaching styles. Rev A D King was credited for organizing the Birmingham, Selma, Louisville and St Augustine Civil Rights Activities. He was arrested several times with his brother Rev Martin Luther King Jr. in Atlanta and several other places. Daddy King was the first to publicly announce that both of sons were murdered for their civil rights activities.
