@LottieSue it was cultural at that time in life...that is why Paul said for the woman to cover their heads in corinthians chapter 11....some legalistic christians with a lack of understanding can not discern it as the culture of the time...religion has always been oppressive to woman and it still is...our world has barely evolved beyond this!

Once a women comes to faith in Jesus Christ, He then is her covering and there is no biblical reason for a scarf. Before salvation, an earthly father or authority is her covering.

Here in Greece (Orthodox Cristians), women used to wear veil/hijab/madila(μαντίλα) a lot. Every woman in the churche used to wear veil. Nowadays only grandmas wear it, but some yong girls start to wear veils again.

In Russia tho all women still wear veils in church.

Does not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man has long hair, it is a shame unto him?

today we see women in the beach wearing too peaces of paper and all the males are looking at her and become horny and when men are horny they become more agressive . this is why women shuld wear veils ...

1. Ijma or Conceccus of all muslims stated FGM is haram wih Quran and Hadith basis.

2. Australia THE FAMILY LAW COUNCIL investigate FGM practice stated in their report : "Female genital mutilation is not practiced in predominantly Islamic countries".

3. In US Clitoral Unhooding, Labiaplasty ,Vaginoplasty still Legal and considered Plastic Surgery.
