i tried cutting a cross in some hollowpoint pellets i had and they wouldnt fit into the gun :/ they didnt look squashed or anything they looked fine but i guess a fraction of a mm makes all the difference...

I use Krey ballistic lard. What is left after shooting I put on my weezer as it will enlarge it. Don't use Crisco as it is shortening.

Have you tried making DIY ballistic gel yet? It's dirt simple..if you have Krogers in your area, you can buy 8oz boxes of gelatin for $6-8. One oz of gelatin per 8oz of water is the ratio, lots of good vids on the interwebs for making it.
