  • very cool, mate. But, that is a B7, not a B9 you are playing in the first position. You'd have to be playing the C#, as well. A ninth needs the 7th AND the 9th to be called a Ninth. The same chord without the 7th would be a Major 9, as opposed to a "standard" 9th chord. Cheers.

For Scwambie, if he is monitoring: E A and B7. That's it. I think he told that in the beginning of the vid.

  • Thanks for the theory input. Not my strong point. I always think in terms of shapes and patterns. This shape is the shape i use for 9ths, but you are quite right, that i would need to put my finger on the C# on the B string.

  • What an amazing picking! I would like to know... what sounds better in general in your opinion: Gibson or Gretsch? Since I guess the question is not easy to answer.. just explain to me where the differences are please, I am about to buy myself an Gretsch electromatic, but when I see this on the Gibson... I am not sure anymore! Sounds perfect!

  • Wow, that's about as hard as it gets. I will post a comment on your site. If you reply on my comment page, hopefully it should allow us to get down to the nitty gritty. Thanks for asking me!

  • I wish I could play that like you do..I only appreciate other talent, I can't play ! But your videos are great

  • FastEddie, YOU THE MAN! Checked this because I'm learning S.Moore/Elvis version, but I kind of hear in this Jr Parker-like rendition Moor's version too! (2 for the price of 1!?) Anyhow, superlative playing - and I'd absolutely love to hear anything that might include the Elvis/Scotty Moore Sun songs (I know you've already done a few.) .

  • your a very good musician

i wish i could fingerpick like that

  • You said B9th i think its a b7th

  • Nice job and great camera work.

  • you can buy an ibanez with a trem. i have one. articore af75tdgiv. sweet guitar.

  • is there anyway i could get the tabs or the chords for this song?

  • I think the only thing with comparable twang to a Telecaster, but that's got a whole different (yet somewhat the same) kind of vibe about it. Until I get the money for any Gretsch, I'll have to settle for my Ibanez hollowbody (which is still a damn good guitar). Sucks there's no vibrato bar...
