Asian elephants, Panya and Jean at Audubon Zoo in New Orleans, Louisiana enjoy doing the "Watermelon Stomp". At "Zoobilation", the zoos annual members-only party, guests bought chances on how long a watermelon would last when placed in front of two hungry elephants! The melons were numbered 1 to 10 and who ever chose the "last melon standing" had their ticket drawn for a prize. I lost.

  • Panya and Jean at Audubon Zoo in New Orleans, Louisiana. The "Watermelon Stomp" is an annual event at "Zoobilation", the zoo's members only party. The watermelons are numbered 1 through 10 and guests take chances on which melon will be left. The money raised goes to wildlife conservation and the watermelons go to two hungry elephants.
